Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Low Battery, Inc. ("brevv," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the brevv mobile app and the brevv.app website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What brevv is

brevv helps you brew better pour-over coffee at home. You can scan coffee bags to extract origin, roast, and tasting notes; save profiles for your brewer, grinder, scale, and kettle; and receive AI-generated recipes for V60, Chemex, Kalita, AeroPress, Hario Switch, and other supported devices. Recipes adapt over time based on your ratings and feedback.

Recipes are suggestions, not guarantees. Results depend on your equipment, beans, water, and technique.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions and purchases

brevv is free to download. Some features require a brevv Pro subscription, offered as a monthly or yearly plan at the prices shown in the app at the time of purchase (for example, Brevv Pro Monthly at $4.99/month and Brevv Pro Yearly at $29.99/year; prices and currencies may vary by region).

• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies, not by brevv.
• We may change subscription prices or features with reasonable advance notice. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos, brew logs, recipes, ratings, and other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant brevv a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and display Your Content for the purpose of operating, improving, and providing the Service. If you publish Your Content to the community, you also grant other users a license to view, like, and save it within the Service.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is illegal, infringing, hateful, harassing, deceptive, or that violates a third party's rights.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code or underlying models, except as permitted by applicable law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or other users.
• Use the Service to build or train a competing product or AI model.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, brand, recipes generated for you, and the underlying models, is owned by Low Battery, Inc. and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, no rights are transferred.

7. Third-party stores and services

The Service is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, and integrates with third-party services for authentication, analytics, payments, and AI inference. Your use of those stores and services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or for providing support.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that recipes will produce a particular flavor result, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that it will be free of bugs or errors.

Hot water, hot surfaces, and electrical equipment can cause injury. You are responsible for using your brewing equipment safely.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, brevv and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $50.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless brevv from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account from the app settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
